Shanara Mercer

Shanara was born and raised in North Carolina. She is creative and self-motivated with acquired leadership skills, research knowledge, and social work experience. She graduated from The University of North Carolina at Charlotte and now holds a B.A. in social work and a B.A. in medical sociology. Shanara is most interested in educating others in the areas of self-reliance and health and wellness. In addition to developing and implementing community engagement,  she raises awareness for intimate partner violence with 10 years service experience of working with both victims and abusers.
