I am Owen Sayre and I am from the college town of Hattiesburg, MS. I enjoy backpacking and have hiked over 600 miles of the Appalachian Trail over the last 6 years. Hattiesburg was the heart of Freedom Summer; I have learned from those in my community who fought for a just world then and I believe our generation needs to continue that fight now.
